Özet:

In this study, the impressions of the protagonist named Hocazade in Mehmet Akif Ersoys poetry book named Âsım 1919 about the social and economic conditions of the villagers at a village wedding in Kartal Kurna during World War I and the report prepared by the agricultural officer named Ali Rıza Bey about the agricultural situation of the Menteşe in 1915 were compared. For this purpose, the method of comparing the literary map extracted from fictional works and the objective map extracted from the real world in terms of similarities and differences proposed by Ömer Naci Soykan for literary sociology studies was used. In this study, in which the extent to which social issues are reflected in literary works is examined, it has been determined that Mehmet Akif Ersoy reflects the conditions of Ottoman villages and peasants during the World War I years in a manner compatible with historical and sociological data, depending on his realistic understanding of art. When the two texts that make up the literary and objective map are read together, it is seen that there are many parallels between them. In the report, which represents reality, situations such as education, agricultural activities, leisure time activities and public health are presented in the literary text in their nakedness, without embellishment. The literary and objective maps fit each other perfectly. Similar situations are described using almost the same words. The fact that Mehmet Akif Ersoy was able to reflect the conditions of the peasants of the period so realistically in his poetry can be attributed to the fact that he worked in Anatolia, Rumelia and Arabia during his period as a veterinarian and that he was intertwined with the peasants due to his profession.
