Özet:

Unmetered folk songs known as uzun hava, representing significant examples of Anatolian musical tradition, hold great importance in terms of the representational values of Turkish Folk Music. The execution of these pieces in accordance with the attitudes of their respective regions, thereby reflecting the performance tradition of the area, is crucial. Barak examples, which encapsulate these representational values, serve to convey the cultural accumulations of the society through their melodic, rhythmic, and verbal elements, perpetuating the performance tradition with their performers. Prominent violinists, such as Hacı Çiçek, known both locally and nationally, not only receive recognition from fellow violinists but are also emulated by numerous performers for embodying not only all elements of the Barak culture but also personal originality. The fact that Hacı Çiçeks performances are admired not only by violinists but also by those utilizing bowed and stringed instruments, particularly for his use of melody patterns and performance techniques, underscores the representational power of his performer identity. In line of this information, two of Hacı Çiçeks Barak performances, reflecting his performer identity, has been selected and concretely transcribed as notation, analyzed based on bowing and ornamentation techniques.
