Özet:

First broadcast on Youtube and then BluTV in Türkiye, the 6-season-long series Sıfır Bir establishes a dynamic relationship with its characters and the film tradition that preceded it. The series became an important phenomenon in the country due to its relation to the aesthetics of globally known crime dramas. At a time when Narcos 2015, El Chapo 2017, Narcos: Mexico 2018 are Netflix series about criminal organisations in Latin America, Sıfır Bir 2016 is about a neighborhood gang fighting poverty and drugs. Sıfır Bir reintroduces the ethics of an epic in Yeşilçam that preaches being on the side of the poor, a screen persona used by Yılmaz Güney in his Westerns, and some popular misconceptions about socialism in Turkey, such as Adana Socialism, as it was called in the movies, and gathers the political past in a new narrative. The series Sıfır Bir, which deals with conflicts, the street politics in which the characters are involved, the subaltern identities they have, and the adaptations of the Turkish Western they show, will be discussed with the method of diagnostic criticism. With the Diagnostic Criticism, the characters established socio-politically, the pre-existing Yeşilçam westerns of their actions, the justice mechanism and ethical codes belonging to it will be concretized in the context of film culture, and the essential relationship between them will be revealed. Subaltern politics produces strong and determined characters from the universe of criminality to which they are pushed through the western ethics that Yeşilçam produces uniquely.
