Özet:

In this study, the seed morphometry of two species belonging to the Orchidaceae family, Anacamptis laxiflora Lam. R.M.Bateman, Pridgeon M.W.Chase and Anacamptis palustris Jacq. R.M.Bateman, Pridgeon M.W.Chase, was analysed and compared. This family of species can be found in many different parts of the world, as they are able to adapt to a variety of environmental conditions. Orchids, which are used in many areas, are rare and valuable and important for our countrys economy. Some types of orchid look very similar, and can interbreed easily. This makes it hard to organise these plants into different groups. This study aims to solve the taxonomic problem of A. laxiflora and A. palustris species, which have similar flower structures. The images obtained from electron and light microscopes of seeds from the A. laxiflora and A. palustris species were analysed using the MorphJ programme. The data obtained from the seeds provided taxonomic characters that can be used to distinguish between two species with similar floral structures.

Bu çalışmada, Orchidacea familyasına ait Anacamptis laxiflora Lam. R.M.Bateman, Pridgeon M.W.Chase ve Anacamptis palustris Jacq. R.M.Bateman, Pridgeon M.W.Chase türlerinin tohum morfometrileri karşılaştırılmıştır. Familyaya ait türler çeşitli ekolojik şartlara uyum sağlayabilme yetenekleriyle birlikte dünyanın birçok yerinde yayılış göstermektedirler. Birçok alanda kullanılan orkideler, nadir ve ekonomik yönden değerli olup ülkemiz açısından yüksek öneme sahiptirler. Bazı orkide türlerinin benzer çiçek yapılarına sahip olması ve yüksek oranda hibritleşme yetenekleri, bu değerli bitkiler için taksonomik problemlerin ortaya çıkmasına neden olmaktadır. Bu çalışma ile çiçek yapıları büyük oranda benzerlik gösteren A. laxiflora ve A. palustris türlerinin taksonomik probleminin çözümüne katkı sağlanması amaçlanmıştır. A. laxiflora ve A. palustris türlerine ait tohumlar üzerinde yapılan elektron ve ışık mikroskop çekimleri ile elde edilen görseller morphoj programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Tohumlardan elde edilen veriler, çiçek yapıları benzer olan her iki türün ayrımında kullanılabilecek taksonomik karakterlerin ortaya çıkartılmasını sağlamıştır.
