Özet:

The study was conducted to determine the effect of first aid training given with the concept map method on womens knowledge level and attitude towards household injuries. The study design was carried out with a semi-experimental model with pretest-posttest in a single group. Participants were asked to fill out a personal information form, a first aid information form and a form evaluating their attitudes and behaviors towards preventing home accidents. A total of 300 women were included in the sample. First, the participants filled in the first aid information form and then received training in small groups using the concept map method. After the training, both the first aid knowledge scores and the forms evaluating their attitudes and behaviors were filled out and the difference was statistically evaluated. According to the results of the study, there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test in terms of first aid knowledge scores p0.001. It was determined that the first aid knowledge test scores in the post-test were statistically significant and higher than the pre-test. In addition, the post-test mean score obtained from the attitude and behavior scale was 67.08. Considering the scale scores ranging from 0 to 100, this score is at a sufficient level.
