Özet:

In this study, it is examined how the Qur’an takes into account socio-cultural circums-tances in its teaching in the light of the example of the concept of Ma‘rûf (goodness or accepted practices). When we look at the Qur’anic teaching, we can see that it acknowledges accepted practices of the society (ma‘rûf). This factual reality means that Qur’an sets free human being while establishing his/her worldview. This matter which gives a huge immensity to the area of human beings’ freedom is the universal character of the Qur’anic message. The applicable universal message of the Qur’an in every period consist of believe in Allah, worship Him only, doing goodness to others and being fair to every people. To this universal message every society can develop its own ma‘rûf/accepted practices provided that it observes these main principles of the Qur’anic teaching. The trust of the Qur’an to the accepted practices of the societies emanates from fulfillment of divine and human elements to each-others.

Bu çalışmada, Kur’an’ın sosyo-kültürel koşulları dikkate alışı ma‘rûf (örf ve/veya iyilik) kavramı örneğinde irdelenmektedir. Kur’an’ın birçok konuda ma‘rûfa/örfe göre hareket etmeyi onaylaması, beşeri dünyasını kurmada insanın olabildiğince özgür bırakıldığı anlamına gelmektedir. Bu özgürlük alanına genişliğini kazandıran husus, Kur’an mesajının sade ve evrensel oluşudur. Kur’an’ın her dönemde uygulanabilir evrensel mesajı, Allah’a iman, O’na kulluk/ibadet ve insanlar arasında dürüstçe (iyi niyet besleyerek) hareket etmekten ibarettir. Buna göre her toplum, değinilen üç ana ilkeye uymak kaydıyla kendine özgü ma‘rûfunu/örfünü oluşturabilir. Kur’an’ın ma‘rûfa itimadı, inanan bireylerin iyi niyetle kuracakları sosyo-kültürel bir dünyada, beşeri niteliklerle ilahi niteliklerin birbirini tamamlamasından kaynaklanmaktadır.
