Özet:

Young voters are more reluctant to participate in politics than older voters. In particular, their political interest is low due to reasons such as not being taken seriously, insecurity and ineffectiveness. However, their young age and the ongoing maturation of their worldviews make them potential voters who can be added to the party base in the long run. Therefore, it is very important to understand the behavior of young voters. In this context, this study aims to reveal the view of young voters on the Palestinian Question and the impact of this issue on their voting behavior. A total of 587 participants aged between 18 and 29 participated in the study. The study was planned and implemented in a survey design from quantitative research methods. The data obtained were subjected to frequency and correspondence analysis and findings were tried to be obtained. The results of the study show that while the participants are highly involved in political processes through voting behavior, they are quite uneasy about political party membership. However, the fact that the participants do not hide their ideological attitudes shows that they are aware of political interest and political participation. Participants largely view the Palestinian Question as a humanitarian issue rather than an ethnic or religious issue. It is understood that the Palestinian response to Israel was justified and appropriate in the eyes of the participants. Participants state that aid is insufficient to end or solve the Palestinian Question. The results are expected to make practical contributions to the literature on young voter behavior and to politicianspolitical parties in policy making.
