Özet:

The research aims to explain the historical development of Scotlands integrity with the United Kingdom and the direction in which the understanding of Scottish Nationalism is shaped, what will be the contribution of this understanding to independence. The literature review in the study was conducted starting from the development process of Scottish Nationalism. In this context, the qualitative study method was used in the study. The issue of how this understanding of nationalism has been reshaped by the BREXIT process of the United Kingdom has been discussed, and how effective nationalism will be in the foundations of the countrys desire to leave the United Kingdom with the current policies have been discussed. The findings of the study have revealed the fact that Scottish Nationalism is not yet ready for a change in the political structure, and even non-nationalist factors have emerged as the more dominant arguments in this change.
