Özet:

The expansion of Islamic geography during the period of the Rightly Guided Caliphs enabled trade to spread to a larger area. In this wide geography, there were merchants from different classes such as Muslims and non-Muslims. Muslims continued this profession with their past commercial experience. During this period, non-Muslim merchants traded safely in Islamic lands. In return, uşûr tax was levied on their commercial revenues in accordance with their agreements with Muslims. The Medina Bazaar in Medina, the center of the caliphate, was an important destination for Coptic merchants from Egypt and Nabataean and Greek merchants from Sham and Iraq. In this context, in the article, Muslim and non-Muslim merchants who were active in the commercial life of the Rightly Guided Caliphs period were analysed and subjected to some evaluations. The survey model method was used in the study. The identified data were systematised according to the subject headings and then subjected to classification and analysis. In this framework, qualitative research method was preferred. Although the principle of induction came to the fore, the deductive method was also used.
