Özet:

In addition to being a phenomenon guided by society, music is also a phenomenon that transforms society and at the same time transforms with it. In the second half of the 20th century, social transformations ushered in a period of popularization in Classical Turkish Music, the most widespread genre in Turkish society. However, this popularization has also led to changes in the dominant dynamics of music due to commercial concerns and the effects of globalization. The research aims to reveal the performance transformation of Classical Turkish Music in the entertainment industry on the axis of social changes. Since the transformation of Classical Turkish Music in the entertainment industry in the second half of the 20th century was examined, the survey model was used in the study. Categorical content analysis was performed on the data obtained. As a result of the findings, it was concluded that as a result of individual and collective commercial concerns, globalization, social transformations and popularization efforts, a stylistic understanding emerging from Classical Turkish Music has become dominant in the entertainment industry.
