Özet:

Comparative literature is one of the most popular disciplines in the philology in Russia today. Up today the comparative literature has undergone a hundred fifty-year development process. Comparative literature, which was founded in Europe, came to Russia in the 19th century and was shaped by important literary scholars. One of these scholars was the Russian linguist F. I. Buslayev. However, it was A.N.Veselovskiy who has laid the foundations of the comparative literature science. Veselovskiy compared the literary works from different cultures, using the method he has invented. Soviet scientists V. M. Zhirmunsky and M. P. Alexeyev have further developed this method and significantly contributed to this subject by means of their studies. In recent years some changes, subjected to the globalization effects have been observed in the studies conducted in this field in Russia. In this context, currently the scientists are making research, related to the new terminology, and updating research methods.
