Özet:

The beauty of a word in terms of eloquence increases with its suitability to the context, situation and environment in which it is used. Expressions formed by taking into account the subtleties of language, the situation of the addressee, the subject of the message conveyed and environmental factors are literary. For various reasons, some words are omitted or abbreviated in the expression, and the word gains new meanings and becomes more literary. These issues are dealt with within the scope of the science of maʻānī in rhetoric. This art is a type of iʿjāz and is frequently used in the Qurān, especially in the style of parables. In this study, the use of the art of ḥadhf in the surah of Yūsuf and the various meanings it gives to the verses are analyzed. In the readings on the art of ḥadhf, it has been seen that this art is used a lot in the parables, and while the subject of ḥadhf is discussed in the books of rhetoric, it has been seen that there is a lot of reference to the Surah of Yūsuf, in which the parable of Yūsuf is told. In addition, some orientalists claimed that the Qurān was difficult to understand and that there were deficiencies and disconnects in the Qurān because they were not interested in the rhetoric of the Arabic language. They even criticized some passages in Surah Yūsuf, one of the most literary and fluent surahs of the Qurān. For these reasons, this study aims to investigate the arts of ḥadhf in Surah Yusuf. The art of ḥadhf is indirectly about the iʿjāz of the Qurān, which has a large place in the works of eloquence and tafsīr. In this study, some brief information about the art of ḥadhf is given, the letter, word and sentence ḥadhfs identified in the surah of Yūsuf are classified and headings are created, what kind of ḥadhfs are in the surah of Yūsuf, how they are used, what meanings they add to the surah, and the effects of this art on the wording and meaning are examined.
