Özet:

In addition to film viewing practices, engaging in post-viewing discussions and providing commentary on films have become integral components of digital culture. The simultaneous access to films through digital platforms and the exchange of opinions in online spaces highlight the necessity of conceptualizing the audience as active participants within the digital media landscape. In this context, digitalization enables the formation of sine-forums, which function as shared networks connecting viewers who engage critically with films. As a key element of participatory culture, these networks provide a common space where audiences, regardless of personal acquaintance, can converge and interact. This study aims to examine the role of users engaged in film criticism on digital networks within the framework of participatory culture, while also analyzing contemporary post-viewing practices. A central research problem emerges regarding the adaptation of traditional audience research methods to the digital network context and the ways in which audience interactions are framed within the digital era. In the field of film studies, the primary research problem of this study concerns the role of digital networks in shaping audience practices related to post-viewing film evaluation and the influence of these interactions on film criticism. This shift positions audiences as active contributors to critical discourse and fosters the development of a new film evaluation culture shaped by digital networks. In this regard, the study focuses on useraudience reviews of the film Kuru Otlar Üstüne About Dry Grasses on the Sinemalar.com website, analyzing them through the lens of common thematic patterns. The research investigates the primary themes around which these reviews are concentrated and examines them in relation to participatory culture, film criticism, useraudience positioning, and art cinema. A qualitative content analysis was conducted to examine audience comments, while thematic analysis was employed to identify recurring patterns. The findings suggest that within the framework of participatory culture, feedback and interaction have become integral digital practices for art cinema audiences. Viewers establish peer communication through digital sine-forums, facilitating connections among individuals with shared aesthetic preferences. Furthermore, it can be asserted that audiences actively shape digital networks based on their personal preferences and critical approaches.
