Özet:

Apostol Pistikas 1889-1981 was an architect who was active during the early Republican period and the 1940s.. This article focuses on Pistikass life and works in light of new findings, and aims to position his creations within the architectural environment of the period. Within the scope of the article, information obtained regarding Apostol Pistikass life is presented first. Subsequently, Pistikass works are examined in two groups. The first group consists of residential buildings constructed in the late 1920s and early 1930s. These buildings feature architectural forms and decorative elements from the Art Deco, Art Nouveau, and Neo-Classicism styles. The second group includes Atabek Han and Tepebaşı Palas, both reflecting the International Style. The Constantinidi Apartment, the building at Meşrutiyet Street No: 108, and Tepebaşı Palas, which were not attributed to Pistikas in previous studies, are introduced as his works. Additionally, new findings and observations regarding his other projects are also presented in the article.
