Özet:

Arab folk literature products are divided into two: verbal and actual creations. While proverbs, idioms, songs, stories, riddles, and jokes are among the verbal creations, actual creations include folk dances, childrens games, customs and traditions, and clothing. Palestinian folk tales are folklore products that contain information about the social, historical, intellectual, religious, literary, and cultural elements of the Palestinians and point to information about the spirit of the century. It is based on the principle of a narrator who knows the story by heart, telling stories one after the other spontaneously and extemporaneously. The audience gathered around the narrator listens to stories containing extraordinary things during long winter nights before going to sleep. It is created with a unique style and allows the narrator to establish emotional dominance over the listener by changing his voice in response to events and situations and using body language by making representations and imitations. The narrative begins with a short story called al dehliz, which is generally described as an introduction, and the purpose of this part is to make the listener laugh. Each story is named based on the most important and obvious people or events in the story, and the narration begins with formulaic expressions. Generally, when a forgotten person or event is remembered by the narrator, the narration is interrupted, and the forgotten information is mentioned by going back to the past. In stories, which are fictional stories involving a specific time and place with a beginning and an end, there is a connection between events within the framework of a cause-effect relationship. This study aims to classify and analyze the stories that have an important place in Palestinian folk literature, their characteristics, types, language, style, and feature. In this context, the necessary information for the study are provided from Arabic sources such as Minal Turasi al Shabi, al Hikayatu al Shabiyyeti al Arabiyye, and Hikayatu al Shabiyyeti min Palistîn va Jordan. The data obtained in the study by reading and analyzing many works, especially the works mentioned, using document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods. At the end of the study, the characteristic features of Palestinian folk tales were determined, and these aspects were exemplified through the stories translated from Arabic to Turkish.
