Özet:

Asbāb al-Nuzūl, which examines the events, incidents and conditions that caused the revelation of verses or surahs, is one of the most important elements of Ulūm al-Qurān in terms of understanding the Holy Quran. From the early period onwards, mufassirincommentators have used the narrations of asbāb al-nuzūl as a method of explaining the verses and included many narrations in their works. One of these commentators was Abu al-Hasan al-Qummi, who lived at the end of the third century hijri. al-Qummī, a Shiite author, did not refrain from referring to asbāb al-nuzūl and in his Tafsīr; al-Kummī, which is both a narration and a dirāyah reason-based exegesis, he included many narrations of asbāb al-nuzūl. His tafsir has not yet been the subject of an academic research in terms of asbāb al-nuzūl, so in this study, we first identified the asbāb al-nuzūl narrations used by al-Qummi in his tafsir. We then examined the use of isnād, their sources, method in these narrations and his ideas about them. We have determined that Abu al-Hasan al-Qummī used the narrations of asbāb al-nuzūl within the framework of the views of the Imāmiyya sect to which he belonged and he explained issues such as imāmah, wilāyah, rijat, the innocence of Ahl al-Bayt, and the virtue of Ali, in order to justify this ideology, by linking them to various verses.
