Özet:

In this research, the correlation between public expenditure and economic development is studied. In this point of view, both short term and a long term correlation is established between the variables through the ARDL bounds test approach. The coefficients all of the variables included in the analysis were statistically significant at the 5 and 1 significance level. According to the econometric analysis results; It has been determined that current expenditures, investment expenditures, transfer expenditures and total expenditures in the long term increase GDP. The other finding was that in the short term, total expenditures have a positive effect on GDP. In this research was determined that the effect of public expenditures on economic growth is positive and supports Keynesian theory.
