Özet:

This article examines the captivity periods of Baudouin II during the Crusades. Baudouin II joined various campaigns alongside prominent Crusader leaders Godefrio and Baudouin I, and as the Count of Edessa, he conducted raids against local Muslim rulers. These battles led to his capture twice, after which he was released in exchange for ransom. His first captivity occurred during the Harran conflict, from which he was freed after a ransom payment. During his second captivity, he became involved in regional affairs after Count Joscelin of Edessa was captured, leading to his own recapture. Efforts by Muslims to unify weakened Baudouin IIs influence in the region, but following the death of Belek, he was released in exchange for ransom. This article explores the captivity of Crusader leaders, inter-Muslim relations, and the political dynamics of the period.

Bu makale, II. Baudouinin Haçlı Seferleri sürecinde yaşadığı esaret dönemlerini incelemektedir. II.
