 This study was carried out in 2021 and 2022 to determine the population development and infestation rate of Tuta absoluta Meyrick Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae in tomato fields located in the Center, Tokatbaşı and Furunlu locations in Bayındır county İzmir t. In order to monitor the population development of the pest, three fields were determined in each location and 9 delta type pheromone traps were used 1 trap per field. In order to determine the infestation rate, 100 plants were selected randomly from each field on a weekly basis and their infestation status was checked. As a result of the study, according to the data obtained, the first adults of the pest were caught in mid-April. It was determined that the pest had3 to 4 generations at the Center of Bayındır, Tokatbaşı and Furunlu locations in 2021 and 2022, respectively. Adults remained active in nature for approximately 5 months and were seen until the end of August. The average infestation rate of tomato fields in Bayındır in 2021 and 2022 was determined as 23.31 and 18.26 in Center, 21.68 and 20.36 in Tokatbaşı, and 17.26 and 19.42 in Furunlu, respectively. It is recommended that tomato producers in Bayındır should hang the pheromone traps on the day of the seedling planting, should not delay the harvesting period until August because population development of the pest and fruit damage rate begin to increase, and that the spraying should be decided according to the number of adults in the traps.

 Bayındır İzmir ilçesinde bulunan Merkez, Tokatbaşı ve Furunlu lokasyonlarında yer alan domates tarlalarında, Tuta absoluta Meyrick Lepidoptera: Gelechiidaenın popülasyon gelişimi ve bulaşıklık oranının belirlenmesi amacıyla 2021 ve 2022 yıllarında bu çalışma yürütülmüştür. Zararlının popülasyon gelişiminin takip edilebilmesinde her lokasyonda üç tarla belirlenip, her tarlaya bir adet olmak üzere 9 adet delta tipi feromon tuzağı kullanılmıştır. Bulaşıklık oranının belirlenmesi için ise, her tarladan haftalık olarak rastgele 100 bitki seçilerek zararlı ile bulaşıklık durumuna bakılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda, elde edilen verilere göre zararlının ilk erginleri Nisan ayı ortasından itibaren yakalanmıştır. Zararlının Merkez, Tokatbaşı ve Furunlu lokasyonlarında 2021 ve 2022 yıllarında sırasıyla 3 ile 4 döl verdiği belirlenmiştir. Ergin bireyler, yaklaşık olarak doğada 5 ay aktif kalarak Ağustos sonlarına kadar görülmüştür. Bayındırda domates tarlalarında tespit edilen ortalama bulaşıklık oranı, 2021 ve 2022 yıllarında Merkezde sırasıyla 23.21 ve 18.26, Tokatbaşında 21.68 ve 20.36 ve Furunluda 17.26 ve 19.42 olarak belirlenmiştir. Bayındır ilçesindeki domates üreticilerine fide dikiminin gerçekleştiği gün feromon tuzaklarını asmaları, ilaçlamalarına tuzaklardaki ergin sayısına göre karar vermeleri önerilmektedir. Zararlının popülasyon gelişiminin ve bulaşıklık oranının mevsim sonunda meyvelerde artmaya başlamasından dolayı, mümkünse erken hasada başlayıp, hasat dönemini Ağustos ayında bitirmeleri gerektiği tavsiye edilmektedir.
