Özet:

Modernism has been grounded as a sociological theory in terms of social, cultural and scientific developments of historical periods. Within this sociological theory, many critical concepts related to postmodern society, postmodern situation and postmodern philosophy have been produced. All the developments seen in the history of social sciences on a global scale have affected the modernisation history of art in a parallel manner. Within these periods of interaction, the process called contemporary in art, whose cultural foundations were laid within the development line of European art, but in the post period called American art after 1945, the period immediately after modernism and before postmodernism, with the overcoming of abstract expressionism and subsequent minimalism, is the period when the concept of contemporary art began to be used. In the ongoing historical process, the abstracted content of art transformed into the conceptualised content of art and the foundations of a period in which post art phases were more effective under the name of conceptual art were laid. As tried to be summarised above, one of the creative developments that relates the parameters of conceptual formation through language and design in art to the phenomenological dimensions of the ontological structure of art is the Art and Language group. In this article, the activities of the Art and Language Group, which conceptually carries the semiotic tendencies in postmodern art culture to the philosophical field, have been tried to be analysed in detail as one of the formal structuring movements in art in the postmodern process.
