Özet:

After the 1960s, it is accepted as the beginning of a period in which new expressions and different artistic understandings emerged. In addition to many branches of art, there has been a tendency to search for new materials and techniques with the understanding of multidimensionality in textile art. In the 1st Lausanne Tapestry Biennial in 1962, textile art examples went beyond the traditional tapestry understanding for the first time, and different exhibition styles made a big impact. With the acceptance of textile art within the framework of plastic arts, concepts such as free textile, tapestry and fiber art are intertwined. In contemporary art, these works are handled within the framework of many art disciplines depending on the approaches of the artists. Installation art is one of the most used means of expression and representation in textile art as well as in different disciplines. With this article, it is aimed to examine the exhibition forms of 21st century fiber art in installation art and to reveal the relationship between space, object and audience with the examples of artists working interdisciplinary. The applications of selected 10 contemporary fiber art works in the art of installation and the interaction between the audience and the work are discussed at the conceptual level.
