Özet:

This study aims to determine whether the current economic conditions in Turkey after 2018 have caused a significant change in individuals problem perception by focusing on the cost of living, unemployment and education problems. With this aim, TURKSTAT life satisfaction survey 2012-2022 micro data sets are used, and the data are analyzed with the multinomial logit method. The analysis reveals that after 2018, individuals are more likely to see cost of living as a more important problem, especially compared to unemployment. The aspects of socio-economic groups, although the probability of students seeing high prices as the most important problem compared to unemployment has tended to decrease over the years, the trend reversed after 2018. Compared to those who did not graduate from any school, the possibility of seeing the cost of living as a more important problem than unemployment increased among associatebachelors and postgraduate graduates after the crisis. The analysis also reveals that employees and retirees see the cost of living as a more priority problem compared to unemployment after 2018. This study shows that, with the impact of the economic conjuncture in Turkey after the currency crisis, priorities in perceived problems have changed and acute problems are given more priority in various segments of society.
