Özet:

This study deals with the role of Shiism, which emerged in the early periods of Islam and continued its religious and political existence more systematically until today as a supporter of Ahl al-bayt with the incident of Karbala, in the construction of the science of nahwgrammar, which forms the basis of Islamic sciences. Here, the views put forward by Shia scholars on the formation of the science of nahw are analyzed. The fact that there are not many scientific studies dealing with the birth of nahw from this perspective today makes it essential to examine the subject. This is because it is important that Arabic, the language of the Quran, be researched without being used as a material for any religious movement or political view. From this point of view, this study aims to reveal how Shii sources deal with issues such as the birth of nahw, the reasons for its emergence, and its founder. In addition, it aims to address the claims about the birth and founder of the grammar that are based on the belief in imāmah. As a result of the research, it was seen that Shia scholars attributed the establishment of the science of nahwgrammar to Hazrat Ali because he belonged to the Ahl al-bayt and was considered the first imam by them. In addition, it was determined that Abū al-Aswad, who was thought to be a Shiite due to his closeness to Hazrat Ali, established and edited this science by learning the basic principles of the science of grammar from Hazrat Ali himself.
