Özet:

Architecture without architect is a phenomenon that has encompassed the folk art of building for thousands of years, harboring unique values. This architectural culture is shaped by socio-cultural factors and environmental influences, holding the potential to offer sustainable solutions to socio-economic challenges. Emerging to address the needs of the people, this architectural language is both constructed and preserved by the community itself. Understanding this significant phenomenon, developing an environmentally conscious perspective, and adapting it to contemporary architectural understanding are of paramount importance. This study was conducted with the belief that architecture without architects can guide the world of architecture and architectural design education. The first section discusses the conceptual content. The second section involves fieldwork conducted in Yukarı Kavrun Plateau in RizeÇamlıhemşin, serving as a representative example. Data obtained from this fieldwork was analyzed by using drawings, photography, personal observations and interpretations, and graphic techniques. In the third section the significance of the phenomenon was evaluated, which is based on the field study.
