One of the production parameters that affect the mechanical properties of the product after the extrusion process is the billet preheating temperature. In this study, which was carried out using the experimental method, the hardness values of AA6060 alloy, which is one of the most widely used aluminum alloys today, were measured under constant production conditions and punch speed, at different preheating temperatures, as a result of the artificial aging process. The aim of the study is to reveal the effect of preheating temperature on the problem of not achieving the desired hardness values, which is frequently encountered as a result of production. As a result of the experimental study, the correlation between the preheat temperature and hardness was demonstrated by comparing the samples extracted from the samples produced with different preheating temperatures. According to the obtained data, a significant improvement was achieved in the hardness value of AA6060 alloy as a result of the extrusion and aging process by achieving the ideal preheating temperature.

 Alüminyum alaşımları diğer metal alaşımlarıyla karşılaştırıldığında, günümüz endüstrisinde büyük bir paya sahiptir. Alüminyum ekstrüzyon teknolojileri endüstrinin birçok alanında kullanılmaktadır. Ekstrüzyon prosesi sonrasında ürünün mekanik özelliklerini etkileyen üretim parametrelerinden birisi de biyet ön ısıtma sıcaklığıdır. Deneysel yöntem kullanılarak yapılan bu araştırmada, günümüzde en çok kullanılan Alüminyum alaşımlarından olan AA6060 alaşımının, sabit üretim koşullarında ve zımba hızında, farklı ön ısıtma sıcaklıklarında, yapay yaşlandırma prosesi öncesinde ve sonrasında sertlik değerleri ölçülmüştür. Çalışmanın amacı, üretim sonucunda sıklıkla karşılaşılan, istenilen sertlik değerlerini yakalayamama sorununa ön ısıtma sıcaklığının etkisini ortaya koymaktır. Deneysel çalışma sonucunda, farklı ön ısıtma sıcaklıkları kullanılarak üretilen numunelerden alınan örneklerin ön ısıtma sıcaklığı ile sertlik ilişkisi gösterildi. Elde edilen verilere göre, ideal ön ısıtma sıcaklığının yakalanmasıyla ekstrüzyon ve yaşlandırma prosesi sonucunda AA6060 alaşımının sertlik değerinde önemli bir gelişme elde edilmiştir.
