Özet:

The writings, studies and theses about the writer and scientist, whose real name is Mehmet Ziya Gökalp 1876-1924 and known as the founder of sociology in Turkey, are much more than the subject of an article. For this reason, this study is limited to postgraduate studies at the National Thesis Center of the Council of Higher Education. The study is important in terms of revealing under which headings Ziya Gökalp is studied in universities, which are centers of science. The method followed in the research was scanning and document review in the thesis center. Six of the 92 theses reached as a result of the scans were eliminated because they were not directly related to Ziya Gökalp. Eleven of the remaining 86 theses are doctoral theses, while seventy-five are masters theses. The theses are first tabulated as the thesis number, date, person who wrote the thesis, thesis title, type of the thesis, university where the thesis was made, institute and department where the thesis was presented. A chronological order was made in the preparation of the tables. The study aims to reveal how much the subject of Ziya Gökalp is addressed in graduate theses. Based on this, this study also serves as a guide for those who are considering researching the subject in the future. Due to the large number of theses, theses were not subjected to content analysis.
