Özet:

The diary genre is an extremely personal genre due to its production. It can be written with a variety of motivations. These motivations determine the authors distance from the reader. As can be understood from the readings, Erdal Öz is one of the writters who is extremely careful about his self-control. While it is possible to see all the details of his reading and writing adventure, it is noteworthy that very important information is omitted in the notes he took about his life. Of course, this is not something that the author forgot or overlooked, but rather nothes that he did not mention knowlingly and willingly. This comes from the authors power to take the reader out of the door whenever he wants. In fact, in the secret agreement made between the writer and the reader while reanding the diary type, the reader makes an agreement that he, as the writer, will be satisfield with what the other person tells. However, this situation becomes more complex when it comes to literary history, and one must approach what is written with the sensitivity of an excavation. Erdal Ozs Diaries met with the readers in 2016. In the diaries, Erdal Ozs life is witnessed through notes kept between 1956- 1998. This study focuses on whether Erdal Oz, who has different identity roles in society as a Publisher, poet, writer, husband and father, steers the readership in the notes he took in the diary type.
