Özet:

Many people in countries where armed conflicts, civil wars, oppressive governments or human rights violations are intense and systematic or affected by epidemics, natural disasters, poverty or environmental factors leave their countries and migrate to other countries with the desire to live better and be safer. It is seen that women who are among the immigrants also face some problems in adapting to labor life in the destination countries, both as immigrants or asylum seekers and due to gender-based discrimination. In addition to general problems such as cultural differences, lack of vocational and technical education, not knowing the language of the destination country, the specific problems faced by women in the labor market based on gender also prevent these women from integrating into the destination country and its society. The aim of this study is to examine their problems some of which are based on gender in their labor life of immigrants and asylum-seekers women in Türkiye and European countries. Compared to male immigrantsasylum-seekers, problems such as lower wages, more limited enjoyment of legal rights, pressure to work without insurance and not being able to escape from poverty due to not being able to integrate into society can be given as examples of the problems faced by female immigrants and asylum seekers. The difficulties experienced by this group of women in the labor market necessitate addressing the phenomenon of womens poverty or, in other words, feminization of poverty. In this study, suggestions for the solution of such problems of women immigrants and asylum seekers in labor life will also be examined. As a method in the study, Turkish and European examples related to the subject will be analyzed comparatively with a qualitative technique that includes article, book and report reviews based on foreign and domestic literature.
