Özet:

In the European Union, the contribution of RD investments to economic growth and innovative production is becoming increasingly important. The aim of this study is to reveal the impact of the European Unions RD expenditures on exports of high-tech products. In this study conducted within the scope of 27 member countries of the European Union, the panel data analysis method was applied using annual data for the period 2007-2020. The secondary data collection method was used in the study, and the variables used in the models were obtained from the official website of the World Bank. The uniqueness of the study lies in the fact that it was conducted recently and panel data analysis was conducted by including all European Union countries. According to the findings, a positive and statistically significant relationship was found in the model between RD expenditures used as an independent variable and exports of high-tech products. In this case, it can be said that RD expenditures are effective in increasing exports of high-tech products.
