Özet:

The caliphate of Uthmān ibn Affān 2335 AH 644656 CE is generally evaluated in terms of two main phases. The first six years are characterized by continued conquests and a high level of prosperity, while the latter six years witnessed the emergence of an economic crisis and social unrest due to the decline in war booty revenues. In this context, disruptions in the payment of stipends aṭiyya to tribal members residing in garrison cities such as Kūfa, Basra, and Fustāt led to increasing tensions between the central administration and the prov-inces. These tensions ultimately contributed to the onset of the fitna civil strife that culmi-nated in the assassination of Caliph Uthmān. One of the most notable issues of this period was the criticism voiced by Abū Dharr al-Ghifārī concerning the accumulation of wealth kanz and the obligation of charitable giving infāq, particularly in the context of his rela-tions with Uthmān and Muāwiya, as well as the process that led to his departure to al-Rabadha. This study examines the sequence of events beginning with Abū Dharrs relocation to Damascus, followed by his return to Medina, and ultimately his move to al-Rabadha. These events are analyzed within both their political context and the internal consistency of historical reports. The study emphasizes that the question of whether Abū Dharr was exiled to al-Rabadha should not be approached through a unilateral perspective but rather through a multidimensional analytical framework.

Hz.
