Özet:

The North-South divide has been one of the main topics of international studies and research has been conducted on how to eliminate this distinction between the development of the North and the underdevelopment of the South. The globalizing system has an effect on the increase or decrease of the difference between these distinctions. Within the framework of the relationship between globalization and international economic policy, the North-South distinction, which is categorized according to developmentunderdevelopment distinctions, is important in understanding inter-state relations. In this regard, dependency theory argues that developed countries direct underdeveloped or developing countries in the directions of their own interests. The aim of the study is to indicate the dependency theorys perspective on the North-South divide and to analyze the effect of globalization on this.
