Özet:

This study examines the relationship between procrastination behavior and religiosity. In this context, the main aim of the research is to answer the question, What is the relationship between workers religiosity and procrastination behavior? Additionally, the study aims to investigate the differences in workers religiosity and procrastination behaviors according to the variables of gender, age, education level, and duration of employment. The research is an empirical study within the relational screening model and aims to identify the relationship between procrastination behavior and religiosity. The research data were collected using the survey technique, and the survey form included the Personal Information Form, the Adult Delay of Gratification Scale, and the Religious Attitude Scale. In data analysis, Pearson Correlation Analysis and T-Test were used. As a result of the analyses conducted, the following conclusions have been reached: 1. It has been determined that the relationship between procrastination behavior and religiosity is strong and statistically significant in a negative direction, with procrastination behavior decreasing as workers religiosity scores increase. Additionally, it has been determined that the relationship between procrastination behavior and the sub-dimensions of religiositycognition, emotion, behavior, and relationshipis strongly negative and statistically significant. 2. It has been determined that the average procrastination behavior score of men x61.03 is higher than that of women x20.50, and the t-test conducted revealed a statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of procrastination behavior scores. Additionally, it has been determined that the average religiosity score of women x32.58 is higher than the average score of men x13.87. 3. It has been determined that the average procrastination behavior score of workers under 40 years old x57.29 is higher than the average score of workers aged 40 and above x31.23, and the t-test conducted revealed a statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of procrastination behavior scores. Additionally, it has been determined that the average religiosity score of workers aged 40 and above x27.41 is higher than the average score of workers under 40 x15.84, and the t-test conducted revealed a statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of religiosity scores. 4. It has been determined that the average procrastination behavior scores of workers in the high school and above education level group x51.05 are higher than the average scores of workers in the below high school education level group x35.75, and that there is a statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of procrastination behavior scores according to the applied t-test. Additionally, it was found that the average religiosity scores of workers with an education level below high school x25.40 were higher than the average scores of workers with a high school and above education level x18.62, and the t-test conducted revealed a statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of religiosity scores. 5. It was found that the average procrastination behavior scores of workers with less than 20 years of experience x57.50 were higher than the average scores of workers with 20 years or more of experience x30.48, and the t-test conducted revealed a statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of procrastination behavior scores.
