Özet:

Harvesting operations in our countrys forest areas is difficult, expensive and time-consuming work. Man power, animal power and machine power are used to extract the wood raw material from the stand. The vehicles used as machine power in our country are skimmers, harvesters, agricultural tractors and skylines. In this study, it is aimed to examine the productivity of Tajfun MOZ 500 GR mobile skyline yarder in Artvin region, which is located in the North Eastern region of Turkey. For each transportation stage, issues such as load volume, yarding distance, speed of the carriage and time consumption of handling operations in each transportation are examined. As a result of this study, the productivity of the Tajfun MOZ 500 GR mobile skyline yarder was found to be 5.31 m3 hour-1 at an average yarding distance of 125 meters. The use of skylines accelerates harvesting operations in terms of productivity and time. Performing the installation, assembly and disassembly works of the skylines within a planning and opening the corridors correctly and functionally increase the productivity of the skylines. In addition, risks such as environmental effects and occupational accidents are minimized.
