Özet:

In the regions where oral culture is active, the importance of folk science field studies is emerging. These are effective studies that reflect the latest situation of the place, time, events and people where field studies are conducted, and show whether the cultural heritage is stationary in the region. Although the transfer of tangible and intangible cultural heritage is ensured through field studies, thanks to the data obtained for cultural values, an awareness of transferring, understanding, owning and maintaining the past to the present is formed. The subject of the field study is Head and Head Limbs in Turkish Folk Culture: An Example of Siirt and its Districts. With the implementation of field transmission of focused issues related to belief and practice about the head and other limbs of the head, it will be emphasized what researchers should pay attention to before and after going to the field, the purpose, importance and analysis of field work. The reasons for choosing Siirt and its districts as a field study are due to the fact that the region has a multicultural and rich ethnic structure. In this direction; whether the Siirt culture is stationary or not has been observed through field studies.
