Özet:

This study examines the interactions between masters and journeymen, which can be considered morally based, in modeling present-day economic relationships between labor and employers through altruism within the framework of game theory. The study first tries to explain morality in an evolutionary basis and considers moral theory as cooperation. According to this theory, moral values, that are relevant today, are emerged from evolution of solutions found by ancestors to maintain cooperation during the old times. This cooperation gave birth to morality in time, the highest value of humankind. Moral values are increasingly added to economic modeling in recent years. This is also the case for game theoretical models. In this study, moral values have been modeled in a game theoretical framework. In a model where the hierarchical relationship and conflicts of interest among economic agents are relaxed, the importance of the Multilateral Punishment Strategy MPS has been discussed based on the master-journeyman relationship. The existence of a definite yet uncertain hierarchy among agents necessitates the journeymens consideration of their future mastery, influenced by the benefits provided to the master, despite the presence of Gedik constraint. The study also discusses how the outcome of the game being robust against whether the relevant sector operates under perfect or imperfect competition in terms of new firm entry or firm ownership. The addition of a morality constraint to the wage function is another significant contribution of the model to the literature.
