Özet:

With this study, it is aimed to reveal the current situation regarding amateur sailors and fishing ports that they use in Turkey, whose number is increasing every year, in the context of occupational health and safety. User and environmental-based risks and precautions to be taken in all areas of activity, whether commercial or not, are the subject Occupational Health and Safety. The first condition for taking precautions is the correct identification of the current situation and risks. At this point, the number of studies focusing on the current situation determination related to amateur maritime activities being carried out in our country is very few. In addition to data collection activities supported by the field work, it is also a current requirement to examine and reconsider the current legislation.

In this context, problems and improvement opportunities in the context of user and environmental safety are discussed within the scope of the study, in accordance with the data obtained by due diligence on legal legislation and practice. The legal framework related to the subject has been examined and a literature research has been conducted. Concepts related to amateur maritime and the current situation in fishing ports are discussed as two related but separate fields of study. At the end of the research, the relationship of these two fields of study and the conclusions reached at their intersections were revealed.
