Özet:

Before scientific study, the timeline and historical accuracy of the Hebrew tribe, the ancestors of todays Jews, was as described in the Old Testament. Over time, with the discovery of archaeological artifacts and the emergence of new information about Jewish history, information based on primary records has diversified. This information from archaeology has called into question the accuracy of the Bibles account of ancient Israel. The migration of Abraham and his family from Ur to Palestine at Gods command is the first journey of this tribe. While in Palestine, the Hebrew people migrated to Egypt due to famine and other reasons, and were led out of Egypt under the leadership of Moses, where they were enslaved for a long time. The tribe established their first kingdom in Palestine during the reign of Saul and was destroyed after the reigns of David and Solomon. The tribes of Israel separated after the fall of the kingdom and later established the kingdoms of Judah and Israel. The Assyrian invasion of 734-722 BC and the Babylonian invasion of 597-586 BC destroyed these later kingdoms and the Jewish people were exiled from the land of Palestine. When the Persians put an end to Babylon in 539 BC, the people of Israel began to return to Palestine from Babylon, where they had been enslaved, thanks to the Persian Emperor Cyrus decree freeing the people of Israel from captivity. This study examines the first appearance of the Hebrews on the stage of history, the temporal accuracy of the migration from Mesopotamia under the leadership of Abraham, and when they actually settled in Palestine. The theme of the migration of the people of Israel, the kingdoms they established in the promised land and their exile are tried to be evaluated from a historical perspective.
