Özet:

In the 21st century, the world is moving towards establishing a multipolar international system, and the process of inter-state integration is intensifying on a regional and global scale. Today, the Organization of Turkic States has become influential in the international system. This study addresses the historical development and future vision of the Organization of Turkic States. The article briefly touches on the history of the Organization of Turkic States and reviews the main stages of the integration relations of the Turkic states. In the first stage, the integration of the Turkic states mostly covered the fields of culture and education. In the second stage, political integration took shape, and within this framework, summits of the state leaders of the Turkic republics, congresses, inter-parliamentary meetings, and other similar gatherings were held. In the third stage, the geographical area of the OTS expanded and its influence in Eurasia increased. In addition, the importance of the Turkic World 2040 Vision document was tried to be emphasized. Particularly, the strong potential of the organization that unites the Turkic states located in an important geostrategic region were evaluated. In this context, it is striking that the organization has great potential and provides wide opportunities. Similarly, some current problems of the organization in different areas were also stated. In the future, it is expected that political, economic, military and cultural cooperation within the organization will reach higher goals.
