Özet:

Qādī Beydāwī who ise one of the most important personages in the history of Islamic sciences and has gained a well-deserved reputation by writing out his works in different fields such as tafsīr, kalām, fıqh and grammatic, was also interested in history just like many of his colleagues and gave a work in this field too which named Nizām al-tawārīkh. Unlike his other works, Beydāwī who produced this work in Persian to make it more available to readers of Iran region where he lived himself, prepared Nizām al-tawārīkh which has the characteristics of a brief general history book as a short history of prophets, philosophers and rulers. The work consists of four main chapters, the last of which was allocated to account of the dynasties that ruled in Iran contemporary with the Abbāsid caliphs. This study contains an evaluation of the information on the reign of Sultān Jalāleddīn Mangubirti b. Sultān Alāʾaddīn Muhammad, or more famously Sultān Jalāleddīn Khawārizmshāh, who is one of the rulers in the eighth Tāʾifah of the fourth part of the work, the Khwārazmshāhs. In the course of the evaluation, firstly, the events of the Sultān Jalāleddīn Mangubirtis reign will be summarized based on other significant comtemporary sources, after that it will be tried to determine whether the information which was given by Qādī Beydāwī coincides with the records of these sources and whether it is functional in the studies on the history of the Khwārazmshāhs, and meanwhile a number of comments will be made on some affairs related to the reign of Jalāleddīn in the light on some statements belongs to the author.
