Özet:

The story of Yûsuf and Züleyha is included in the holy books of three religions, the Torah, the Bible and the Holy Quran. This story has influenced the whole world literature and still continues to influence today. The story of Yûsuf and Züleyha differs from other folk tales in that it passed from sacred books to classical literature and from there to oral tradition. Nazan Bekiroğlu reconstructed the story of Yûsuf and Züleyha, which she expresses as "Yûsuf and Züleyha, the sadness that trembles over the heart", by adhering to the plot of the classical story. In the novel, Züleyha's emotions are dealt with intensely and love is described in detail. The plot is based on a dream. Dream motif has an important place in fairy tales and folk tales. Egyptians characterise dreams as messages from gods. Dream also has an important place in Turkish and Islamic culture. In the Holy Quran, the dreams of Hz. Abraham, Hz. Yûsuf and Hz. Muhammad (s.a.v.) are included. Nazan Bekiroğlu emphasises that this story is the story of the dream in the last part of the novel Yûsuf and Züleyha. The novel begins with Yûsuf's dream and is followed by Züleyha's dream, the dreams of the sherbet seller and the bread seller, and Pharaoh's dream. In addition, Yûsuf is given the science of dream interpretation in the dungeon. In this study, the dream motif in the novel Yûsuf and Züleyha is analysed based on the rings of events.

Muhammed (s.a.v.)’in rüyalarına yer verilmektedir. Nazan Bekiroğlu, Yûsuf ile Züleyha romanının son kısmında bu hikâyenin rüyanın hikâyesi olduğunu vurgular. Roman Yûsuf’un rüyasıyla başlar ve bunu Züleyha’nın rüyası, şerbetçi ile ekmekçi’nin rüyası, Firavn’ın rüyası izler. Ayrıca Yûsuf’a zindanda rüya yorum ilmi verilmiştir.
