 This study aims to examine the cultural aspects of idioms involving numbers in Kyrgyz and Turkish. It reveals that idioms containing numbers not only express quantitative values but also carry cultural codes. The findings show that certain numbers hold symbolic meanings in both Kyrgyz and Turkish cultures. Specifically, numbers 3, 7, and 40 occupy a significant place in terms of cultural meanings and symbolism in both languages. Therefore, the idioms involving these numbers are analyzed from a cultural-linguistic perspective. The study addresses how the meanings of these numbers in both varieties are shaped by the beliefs, social values, and historical backgrounds of the people. These numbers, which reflect the cultural understanding, beliefs, symbolism, and worldview of the Kyrgyz and Turkish peoples, serve as key indicators of how social structures and cultural codes are conveyed through idiomatic expressions. Accordingly, the aim of this article is to explore the cultural meanings of idioms involving the numbers 3, 7, and 40, and to identify the similarities and differences between the two societies. A total of 55 idioms 22 from Kyrgyz and 33 from Turkish were examined. The analysis revealed that these idioms go beyond conveying mere quantities and embody rich cultural meanings. The idioms were evaluated comparatively in terms of their numerical symbols and cultural themes. The comparative analysis identified both shared semantic features and culture-specific differences. In this context, the study sheds light on the function of numbers as cultural symbols in language and offers a new perspective on the symbolic and cultural roles of numbers embedded in idiomatic expressions.

 Bu çalışma, Kırgız Türkçesi ve Türkiye Türkçesinde rakam içeren deyimlerin kültürel yönlerini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Söz konusu çalışma, rakamlı deyimlerin yalnızca nicelik ifade etmekle kalmayıp, kültürel kodlar taşıdığını ortaya koymaktadır. Elde edilen bulgular, Kırgız ve Türk kültüründe belirli rakamların sembolik anlamlar taşıdığını göstermektedir. Kırgız Türkçesi ve Türkiye Türkçesinde, 3, 7 ve 40 sayıları, kültürel anlamlar ve sembolizm açısından önemli bir yere sahiptir. Bu nedenle araştırmada 3, 7 ve 40 rakamları içeren deyimler kültürdilbilimsel açıdan incelenmiştir. Araştırmada her iki lehçede belirtilen rakamların anlamları, halkın inançları, toplumsal değerleri ve tarihsel bağlamıyla nasıl şekillendiği ele alınmaktadır. Kırgız ve Türk halklarının kültürel anlayışlarını, inanışları, sembolizmleri ve dünyayı algılama biçimlerini yansıtan bu rakamlar, deyimsel ifadeler yoluyla toplumsal yapı ve kültürel kodların nasıl aktarıldığını gösteren önemli birer göstergedir. Bu bağlamda, araştırmanın amacı, 3, 7 ve 40 rakamlarıyla ilgili deyimlerin kültürel anlamlarını ve bunların toplumlar arasındaki benzerliklerini ve farklılıklarını keşfetmektir. Kırgız Türkçesi ve Türkiye Türkçesinde 3, 7 ve 40 rakamlarını içeren 55 deyim Kırgız Türkçesinde 22, Türkiye Türkçesinde 33 incelenerek, yalnızca nicelik bildirmekten öte, kültürel anlamlar taşıdığı tespit edilmiştir. Deyimler, içerdiği sayısal simgeler ve kültürel temalar bakımından karşılaştırmalı olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Karşılaştırmalı analizlerde, hem ortak anlam özellikleri hem de kültüre özgü farlılıklar tespit edilmiştir. Bu bağlamda çalışma, sayıların kültürel semboller olarak dildeki işlevine ışık tutmaktadır. Aynı zamanda bu sayılar üzerinden inşa edilen deyimlerin ardında yatan kültürel anlam katmanlarını açığa çıkararak, rakamların dilde üstlendiği simgesel ve kültürel işlevlere dair yeni bir bakış açısı sunmaktadır.
