Özet:

Green political thought constitutes one of the main axes of the political ecology discussions on the fight against environmental problems and solving the ecological crisis. Green political thought, green politics or ecologism emerged in the second half of the 20th century as one of the ideological reflections of the global concern for the deepening ecological crisis. Green political thought is accepted a new ideology independent of traditional political ideologies. It is emphasized that green political thought is a holistic perspective and an alternative worldview with economic, social, political, etc. visions that go beyond merely dealing with environmental problems. The aim of this study is to reveal the specific themes of green political thought, which claims to be a new ideology. For this purpose, a conceptual evaluation is made on green political thought by reviewing the literature on the subject. As a result of the evaluation, the specific conceptual themes of green political thought were determined as anti-industrialism, eco-centrism and sustainability. These themes, which can be considered as the founding elements of green ideology, are interrelated. It is also possible to talk about various sub-themes of each theme, which are also related to each other.
