Özet:

In this study, an analysis is carried out to criticise the treatise titled Risālah fī Bahs al-Idāfah min al-Kāfiyah which was written by Abūl-Suʿūd Afandy d. 9821574 in this risālah, Abūl-Suʿūd Afandy, one of the most famous Shaykh al-Islams of the Ottoman period and a polymath scholar known for his works on Islamic law, tafsir, and Arabic language-literature, analyzes the definition of idāfah in Ibn al-Hajibs d. 6461249 al-Kāfiyah, one of the three basic works on Arabic grammar. The author, Abūl-Suʿūd Efendī, critically examines Ibn al-Hajibs definition of idāfah and the discussions on this definition in important commentaries on al-Kāfiyah, especially in Abd al-Rahmān al-Jāmīs d. 8981492 al-Fawāid al-Diyāiyya. For a better understanding of the subject, the author also touches upon the methodology of fiqh by giving a short example, and he concludes that Ibn al-Hajibs definition of izafah is contrary to the definition of the Arabic scholars of grammar by counting the possibility of interpretations regarding the definition of idāfah. In the first part of the study, after a brief mention of the life of Abūssuūd Efendi and his works in the field of the Arabic language, information is given about the introduction of the treatise, its content, sources, importance, the authors method and the method followed in the criticising. In the second part, the critisized text of the manuscript, of which only one copy was found out is presented.
