Özet:

The topic of gender is an interdisciplinary study along with it has an important place as a sub-branch of sociology in terms of understanding society and its development. Gender studies have proliferated from a deep-rooted past to the present day, primarily with feminist studies and then with womens studies. Gender roles have been shaped throughout history by various factors such as social expectations, cultural norms, economic conditions, education, technology, and media. This study focuses on the intergenerational perspectives and transformations of gender roles. The topic of generations has become crucial in understanding how social changes, technological advancements, and cultural developments affect human life. Each generation is shaped by the social, economic, and technological conditions of its time and develops characteristics distinct from previous generations. While each generation inherits the values and experiences of those before it, it also constructs a new identity influenced by the conditions it faces. The intergenerational gender roles and their transformation are significant topics of research from sociological and cultural perspectives. This study aims to understand how the roles of men and women in the Baby Boomer and Generation Z cohorts have transformed and what factors have influenced this transformation.
