Özet:

Language is the most important element that transfers the traditions, beliefs, feelings, thoughts and lives of the society to the next generations. It is the language materials that reveal the social and cultural structure of the society. One of these language materials is color names. Color is one of the elements that beautifies a persons life and makes it more attractive and meaningful. Colors are very important in Turkish culture. Colors were used not only in expressing the external world, but also in expressing the mental states of people. In this regard, Pınar Gümüşkaya tried to reveal the color names and concepts in historical Turkish dialects as a collective dictionary within the framework of historical periods in her masters thesis titled Color Names in Historical Turkish Dialects 2015. In this thesis, Nevâyîs divan Nevâdirüş-Şebab among the Chagatai Turkish works has not been examined. The difference of this study is to identify and exemplify the conceptual fields of the color names in Nevad al-Shabab. In order to limit the study, only words with basic color names are considered. In Nevâdirüş-şebab; Nine colors were identified as White White; Black Black; Rose Color Rose-Gûn, Rose-Color; Red; Yellow; Sky; Green; Ruby; Tulip-Gûn.
