Özet:

Migration greatly affects the policies of countries. At the same time, migrations can be triggered by political decisions. War, terror, famine, economic depression and many similar factors are shown as the reasons for migration. However, political decisions affect all these elements and this study examines the impact of political decisions on migration. The study aims to reveal the strong impact of political decisions behind security and economic reasons that have proven themselves as major determinants of migration. Because the migration examples regarding the steps taken and the decisions taken on migration in Türkiye reveal the impact of political decisions on migration. In this context, a literature review was conducted to reveal the course of migration in Türkiye in the historical process. In this framework, the data obtained were classified and first of all, the conceptual dimension related to migration was revealed. Then, the political decision aspect behind the migration, which is thought to be caused by security and economy, is revealed by examining the examples.
