Özet:

Psychological capital has its roots in the field of positive psychology and has been shaped by the insights gained within this area, establishing itself as a key concept within organisational structures. The concept of psychological capital is concerned with the quantifiable and cultivatable positive psychological capabilities of employees that can be beneficial to the organisation. Psychological capital is comprised of four fundamental components: optimism, self-confidence, hope, and resilience. The possession of these abilities by employees facilitates their ability to cope with difficulties in the work environment and engenders a positive perspective towards their work. On the other hand, alienation represents a psychological issue whereby individuals exhibit apathy or a sense of lack of purpose in their professional roles. The objective of this study is to ascertain the impact of psychological capital on organisational alienation. For this purpose, the study sample comprises 175 employees from three in different sectors automotive, textile and food in the Konya city centre. This study employs an empirical research design. A questionnaire was employed as the primary data collection instrument in this study. The resulting data were analysed using the SPSS program and structural equation modelling techniques. In the findings section of the study, the relationships and effects between variables were analysed through correlation and regression analyses. The results of the analysis indicated a statistically significant relationship between psychological capital and organisational alienation. Furthermore, it was established that psychological capital exerts a statistically significant influence on organisational alienation.
