Özet:

In this study, it was aimed to determine the population developments and orientation to different colored sticky traps of Hemiptera order Cicadellidae family species that cause damage in field tomato cultivation in Milas Muğla. The studies were carried out in an area where summer field tomato production was made in 2014 and 2015 growth seasons. Cicadellid species collected from tomatoes in the experimental area were identified as Empoasca decipiens Paoli, Zyginida sohrab Zachvatkin, Austragallia sinuta MulsantRey and Cicadulina bipunctella Melichar. The densities of the collected species were determined as 83.22, 15.44, 0.67 and 0.67, respectively. In the studies carried out in 2014 and 2015 to determine the trap color preference of cicadellid species, the most preferred trap color in both growth seasons was the yellow sticky trap with 42.96 and 57.98, respectively. The rate of preference of white, black, red and green colors by cicadellid species for 2014 was 7.30, 12.35, 10.60, 10.77, respectively. It was found as 5.80, 9.57, 13.25 and 13.40 with above-given same trap color order, in 2015. In both years, cicadellid species started to be caught in traps from the end of May and their population densities reached the peak in mid-June. The results were discussed in terms of the role of Cicadellidae family species in yield losses in tomato in the region.
