Özet:

The Mahdī-Masīḥ claim, regarded as the second stage of the multifaceted missions attributed to Mīrzā Ghulām Aḥmed, the founder of the Aḥmadiyya movement, which originated in the Indian subcontinent during the 19th century, holds profound significance and resonance among his followers. This study focuses on the reflections of Mīrzā Ghulām Aḥmeds claim to be the Mahdī on the Qādiyān Aḥmadīs, one of the two principal branches of Aḥmadiyya, which remains highly active today. The primary aim of this research is to examine how the belief in the Mahdī, as interpreted by the Qādiyān Aḥmadīs in connection with Mīrzā Ghulām Aḥmed, is articulated in the communitys contemporary literature. It further explores how this perception of the awaited savior informs their worldview and shapes their present-day activities. To this end, the study first investigates the epistemological framework established to validate and legitimize Mīrzā Ghulām Aḥmeds claims in the eyes of his followers, focusing on the communitys esoteric interpretations of the Qurʾān and Ḥadīth. It then examines the political and social ramifications of these beliefs, with particular attention to their ongoing activities in the modern era. The research relies predominantly on primary sources produced by the Qādiyān Aḥmadī community, including Maneviyat magazine, published in Turkish, as well as their official websites, YouTube channels, and recent printed publications. These materials are analyzed objectively to provide an in-depth understanding of the communitys perspectives. While many studies have addressed Aḥmadiyyas eschatological beliefs, the significance of this study lies in its focus on the communitys contemporary activities, shaped by their Mahdist perceptions, at a theoretical level. By engaging directly with the Qādiyān Aḥmadīs modern narratives and resources, this research offers a unique insight into the current dynamics of the community.
