Özet:

Baroque period covers the second half of the 17th and 18th centuries. It started around 1600 and ended 1750 the date of Johann Sebastian Bachs death. In the Baroque period, instrumental music showed great progress, and works composed for solo instruments began to multiply. Performers and composers started to apply much more detailed musical ornaments, changed the notation style and started playing instruments with new techniques. Music from the Baroque period not only have a very important place in western classical music, but also they are performed and listened today. Among these works, the works composed for solo violin are quite remarkable and have taken their place among the most preferred ones by the performers. In this article, J. S. Bachs Allemanda from second Partita, Heinrich Ignaz Franz Bibers Passacaglia, Georg Philipp Telemanns Fantasia No.1 and Johann Pachelbels solo violin work named Canon in D each of which are important representatives of the Baroque period, have been studied in terms of form, style, harmony and technique. In addition to informing about the Baroque period and its influence on instrumental music in the classical music, biographies of the composers are also briefly mentioned. It is foreseen that the form analysis data obtained as a result of this research will guide the performance of the works.
